We are specialists in facilitating the establishment of new incorporated business associations particularly for retail and commercial precincts. We also provide mentoring services to the management committee or board of these associations in areas such as business planning, financial management and accountability, and governance. We also work on the governance of these organisations through hands-on assistance at meetings including annual general meetings.

Our work has included:

• Facilitation of the establishment of over 50 new business associations in town centres or mixed use strip centres to oversee the management of marketing and business development programs funded by a special rate or charge. Recent examples include the Whitehorse Megamile Business Association and the Sunbury Business Association
• Mentoring of the management committee of the new Sunshine Business Association
• Facilitation of a workshop with business association committee members and centre coordinators in the City of Banyule to improve governance arrangements in all the management committees
• Interim administrator of the Rosanna Traders Association to resolve management issues involving the association executive and centre coordinators, and build business confidence leading to the organisation of a successful AGM with the election of seven new Committee members
• Organisation of new rules about the AGM process for the Bell Street Mall Traders Association, communication of those rules to all property owners and business operators and conduct of the complete AGM process within those rules
• Advisor to the Monash Business Awards Board
• Support for the running and events of the Bayside Business Board
• Advisor on the development of a Business Network for Yarra Ranges Shire
• Advisor to Glen Eira City Council on its BusEd Program in developing network links between Council and educational organisations in the municipality
